The Cordray Difference

You might ask, “What is the Cordray Orthodontics difference?”
or “Why should I choose Dr. Cordray?”

From the moment you enter our office, you will begin to see that there really is a difference in how we provide orthodontic care.

It’s simple:
• Cosmetics First
• Health Second
• Stability Third

Cosmetics First:

The value of an attractive smile should never be underestimated.

• At Cordray Orthodontics we understand that the overwhelming majority of patients want to look better and feel more confident about their smile.
• A beautiful smile is what people see first and remember most.
• A beautiful smile and pleasing facial aesthetics can help to improve self-esteem, quality of life and your ability to meet the world.

And since orthodontic treatment utilizes your own natural teeth, your result is often less expensive, lasts longer, and is more successful than other cosmetic dental procedures.

At Cordray Orthodontics we are dedicated to delivering the best in cosmetics: Creating truly beautiful smiles is what we are all about.

Health Second:

• Orthodontics is not just a cosmetic service.
• The goal of orthodontics is to improve dental health by providing straight teeth, healthy gums and jaws that function well through bite alignment.
• Straight teeth function better, are easier to clean and are more likely to last your lifetime.
• Bite improvement/correction (properly aligned jaws and teeth) may reduce the risk of future wear, headaches, and jaw joint dysfunction (TMJ).

Dr. Cordray pays particular attention to how the jaws work and uses a number of advanced diagnostic tools to determine the best treatment, which in turn empowers you to make better informed decisions about your orthodontic care.

With all of the benefits that orthodontics can provide, it is important to choose the right office for your care.  Dr. Cordray has continued his advanced training and has made the commitment to strive for superior and stable results.  The goals of comprehensive dentistry and orthodontics are similar for people of all ages:  properly-positioned jaw joints and beautiful, aligned teeth that fit in harmony with the jaw joints. In addition, the teeth should be positioned to promote healthy gums, efficient chewing, good lip support, and ideal facial balance.  Roth-Williams orthodontists seek a marriage of the goals of orthodontics and comprehensive dentistry.

Stability Third:

After the teeth are arranged properly, retainers are used to "retain" or maintain the teeth in their new positions.  Several different styles are used in orthodontics.

• Instead of using traditional removable retainers that can be lost, broken, or not worn enough, Dr. Cordray uses invisible retainers bonded to the inside of your teeth.
• Dr. Cordray teaches in the Department of Orthodontics at Ohio State and the research shows that our teeth have a tendency to shift subtlely throughout our lifetime.
• Invisible bonded retainers are the best retainers available in orthodontics today and are the best way to protect the investment of time, energy and money that you have put into achieving a beautiful smile.
• Since they are placed behind your teeth your smile will look natural from the day your braces are removed and they will keep your smile looking great for the rest of your life.

As you can see, orthodontics is a wonderful investment with life-long returns. It is a change for the better and can be successful at any age.

If your smile is less than you want it to be, put our expertise to work for you. At Cordray Orthodontics we are committed to exceptional patient care that will truly make a difference in your life.
